EXOPOLITICS TORONTO Shortcuts February/March 2007 Disclosure Initiatives In Toronto February 28, 2007: News Agency AFP, the Ottawa Citizen and the Toronto Sun Release Interviews with the Hon. Paul Hellyer Toronto (ON Canada) On the heels of Al Gore addressing Global Warming in Toronto Feb 21, News Agency AFP, the Ottawa Citizen and the Toronto Sun have released major interviews with the Hon. Paul Hellyer former Canadian Minister of National Defense on solutions to the global environmental crisis. In preparation for his appearance at next week's Canadian Premiere Screening of THE FASTWALKERS documentary, Mr. Hellyer once again challenges governments to come forward on the ET issue. Prior to the presentation Victor Viggiani, Director of Media Relations for Exopolitics Toronto, attempted to relay a special package of disclosure information to Mr. Gore, but was unsuccessful due to tight security restrictions as Gore arrived at U of T's Convocation Hall. However, following the sold-out presentation's Q&A period, as Gore left the stage for a reception, Viggiani made his way with the Gore entourage backstage where he was greeted by the evening's host, Mr. David Peterson, Chancellor of the University of Toronto and former Premier of the province of Ontario. At this time Viggiani requested that Mr. Peterson provide Mr. Gore the disclosure package, which Chancellor Peterson accepted with the assurance that Gore would receive it. The package contained a DVD of the new documentary, "Fastwalkers", Canadian government documents, an Open Letter to Albert Gore, Jr. from Paradigm Research Group Executive Director Stephen Bassett, the Disclosure Project's two hour witness testimony DVD and comprehensive briefing documents, and a document containing statements by renowned political and security agency figures such as former CIA Director Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter, J. Edger Hoover former FBI Director, Presidents Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and Harry S. Truman indicating their need for the UFO issue to be fully examined by Congress and the media. Exopolitics Toronto, the Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, Paradigm Research Group and the Disclosure Project call on Albert Gore, Jr. and his staff to review, analyze and act upon this important information which, among many things, supports the sequestered existence of technology derived from extraterrestrial vehicles which could dramatically impact a global warming response. Post Conference Interview
Pre-Conference News
Commentary by Larry Dicken, Executive Producer, The Jerry Pippin Show 5/8/06 Just days before the Zland Communications sponsored press conference on Exopolitics, featuring Hon. Paul Hellyer, Dr. Steven Greer and the showing of the 2001 Washington, DC Disclosure Press Conference video, Reuters News Service distributed a story world-wide regarding the release of a UK FOIA requested document of a secret study performed for the British Government in 2000 that, like US Condon Report of 1969, dismissed the existence of ET controlled UFOs visiting the UK as misinterpreted natural phenomena (photo, left) and stressed that UFOs, as such, pose no threat to national security. Notice this study is only valid for the UK. It does not address the rest of planet Earth. One could say to the Brits, better late than never in coming forth to once again support your brethren in the US, while putting down your cantankerous former member of the Commonwealth (read Empire), Canada, or at least some of its citizens. These crazed Canadian citizens, assisted by an equally crazed American emergency room physician turned spiritual guide, could well be disclosing information that could be a terroristic threat to global security. The timing of the media release of this secret report is, needless to say, highly suspicious. Why are the US and UK governments so continuously concerned about convincing their citizens of the non-existence of a purportedly non-existent problem? Shouldn't it have been time to move on with the grand human exploration and conquest of the galaxy, since we are alone in this Universe, and stop arguing with those damned amateur deluded UFOlogists? How strange that UFOs appear to have reality as intelligently controlled vehicles from other star systems over and on some parts of our planet and not others. Canada may well be the battleground for international disclosure, as the American and British Intelligence agencies battle the French Government, which issued the COMETA Report in July 1999 (see detailed summary here). That report stated not only that ET controlled UFOs exist, but also that they could be a threat. The Toronto venue becomes a
part of the ongoing battle for control of the minds of humanity, which mirrors
the long standing internal disputes in Canada between the English and French
speaking population. We here at the Jerry Pippin Show say Vive La France and
bring on those French Fries and a bottle of French Cabernet.

SIGN THE UNITED NATIONS DECADE OF CONTACT PETITION The organizers of this petition effort include Alfred Webre, a former Director of the proposed Jimmy Carter White House extraterrestrial communication study project initiated in 1977 through Stanford Research Institute, supported by a former Minister of National Defense of Canada, Hon. Paul Hellyer, and others. Mr. Webre is in telephone and letter communication with the President of the UN General Assembly, HE Jan Eliasson in regards to this initiative, asking the UN to focus and further study the UFO issue and move towards the necessary steps to eventually establish diplomacy with ethical "off-planet cultures" now visiting Earth. Please take a moment to read and join us in signing the petition. It takes just 30 seconds, but can truly make a difference. Click on the button above. Event from the Canadian Past Presages Current Disclosure Activities
In 1967, Hon. Paul Hellyer inaugurated St. Paul, Alberta's UFO landing pad that contained a profound message of peace, in retrospect (see below). At the time, he did not realize that he would make history with his public stand on UFOs 38 years later. Mr. Hellyer served as Minister of National Defense in the 1963-1967 cabinet of Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson who won a Nobel Peace Prize. Source: http://www.albertasource.ca/alphabet/article.php?article_id=455 St. Paul, UFO Landing Pad When communities commemorate the past, they often choose to look into the future for inspiration in constructing their tributes. Such was the case with St. Paul in 1966-67 when the town began its preparations for the celebration of Canada’s centennial. While the town gained prestige in 1964 by completing the first major Centennial Project in Canada, the St. Paul Recreation Centre, it was a venture of another kind that would capture the imagination of Canadians. Inspired in part by a project initiated by the Canadian government to encourage communities to build centennial monuments, St. Paul took a unique approach to building their largest Centennial project. Instead of a statue or a park, they constructed something much more extraordinary—the world’s first UFO landing pad. The project was the brainchild of W.R. Treleaven of Hamilton, Ontario and Ken Reed of Calgary. Promotion of the new landmark was assumed by the St. Paul Centennial Committee. The 130 ton concrete landing pad was erected near the main entrance to the recreation grounds on land donated by the town of St. Paul. In the spirit of the Canadian Centennial, a time capsule was sealed into the backstop, with letters addressed to Canadians from Ernest Manning, the mayor of St. Paul, and the president of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. The capsule will be unearthed in 2067. Likewise, engraved on a dedication plaque is the following statement:
"Republic of St. Paul (Stargate Alpha). The area under the world’s first UFO Landing Pad was designated international by the Town of St. Paul as a symbol of our faith that mankind will maintain the outer universe free from national wars and strife. That future travel in space will be safe for all intergalactic beings. All visitors from Earth or otherwise are welcome to this territory and to the Town of St. Paul." The project garnered much attention from the Canadian government. The Honourable Grant MacEwan, then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, helped break ground in 1967. Likewise, in a grand display, the Minister of National Defence, The Honourable Paul Hellyer, arrived by helicopter for the official opening ceremonies. In total the final cost of the peculiar project was $11,000, with construction and materials donated by local companies. The 1990s saw the addition of a Tourist Information Centre and UFO Interpretive Display that includes photos of alleged UFOs, crop circles and other unexplained phenomenon. Today, the site attracts visitors from around the world, and was recently the site of an international UFO conference in 2000. At the top of the list of famous visitors to the site are Queen Elizabeth II and Mother Theresa. According to the Dec 1, 2005 issue of the National Post – he has. It appears that the Prime Minister’s Office and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition are indeed now fully aware of the import and politically sensitive nature of the comments made by Paul Hellyer concerning the need for Parliamentary hearings into the Extraterrestrial issue and the need to keep space free of weapons. The National Post, a respected Canadian national newspaper owned by CanWest Publications, covers this story in its December 1, 2005 issue. Scott Feschuk, a Paul Martin speech writer, can now be credited with making the Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, its pursuit of Parliamentary hearings and disclosure about the presence of Extraterrestrials viable issues in the 2005- 2006 Canadian election campaign. The National Post article quotes Mr. Feschuk, "People keep saying this campaign is a carbon copy of the 2004 election. But that's not true," Feschuk continues, "Stephen Harper has a right handsome new hairstyle. Paul Hellyer has grabbed hold of the campaign agenda…” The controversial profile that the Extraterrestrial issue has assumed in the election campaign now indicates that political leaders, speech writers and those running for office in the election are aware of the ET issue. By nature of an inadvertent campaign comment by a candidate and a misinterpretation between Omni Television viewers and readers of the once popular OMNI science magazine, the Extraterrestrial issue is now on the radar screen for politicians and voters to assimilate and assess. The nature of this episode in an election campaign, however seemingly innocuous, indicates that this issue has a peculiar way of surfacing in the most unexpected places. The ET issue has a sustained equilibrium about itself – it will not go a way. It has now entered an election campaign of a major G7 country. The result: Paul Hellyer’s contribution to the ET debate and his convictions against the weaponization of space are now part of the Canadian political scene. Canadian Parliament to Hold Hearings on Relations With Alien "ET" Civilizations See full release at: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/11/prweb314382.htm http://www.edmontonsun.com/News/Canada/2005/11/26/pf-1324951.html The Edmonton SUN has acknowledged that three NGOs have the support of former Minister of National Defense as he publicly calls for action by Parliament to hold public hearings on Exopolitics known as - relations with extraterrestrials. This SUN NEWS SERVICES release is the first Canadian national press agency to recognize the on-going initiative by NGOs Exopolitics Toronto, ICIS (Institute for Co-operation in Space) and the Disclosure Project that seeks to delineate the national policy implications of peaceful relations with off-world civilizations that have been visiting the Earth as demonstrated by the phenomenon known as UFOs (unidentified flying objects). At last September’s SYMPOSIUM ON UFO DISCLOSURE at U of T’s Convocation Hall Mr. Hellyer initiated his co-operation with Exopolitics Toronto and ICIS (Institute for Co-operation in Space) to proclaim the need for open dialogue on this issue by the Canadian government and media. Since then a formal application has been forwarded by Exopolitics Toronto and ICIS (Institute for Co-operation in Space) to the Canadian Senate’s Standing Committee on National Defense and Security for public hearings on this matter. As a former Cabinet Minister, Mr. Hellyer’s involvement and concern demonstrate the dramatically deleterious effects of the development and use of space based weapons against ethical and otherwise peaceful off-world civilizations. Their development and use could spark an incident resulting in an unnecessary intergalactic conflict. Significant immediacy exists for a serious and sober investigation of policy implications for Canada. In order to move this issue to the forefront of the media your co-operation and consideration of this issue is vital. ZlandCommunications and Exopolitics Toronto are in possession of documents which clearly show Canadian NORAD installations register unknown targets on their radar; CF-16 jets are scrambled and in fact chase UFO’s of defined metallic shape and size moving at speeds of over 10,000 mph. These events, if investigated and released to the public through probative journalism, will compel government leaders to call for investigations. These occurrences by the way are replicated daily by other government military operations. See Brazilian military release of information on UFO documents to journalists. If NORAD jets today are targeting these craft in our airspace it would not be conjecture to assume a space based weapons program would be used in an attempt disable or destroy an ET vehicle. Now is the time to react to this issue as an election campaign begins. Now is the time to publicly request that the Canadian government hold open hearings on this issue. Now is the time to ask each party leader to state his position on space based weapons and the influence they may have on ethical extraterrestrial civilizations who may be piloting these non-threatening craft in our air space. All of the converging lines of evidence are present for escalating this matter into a national issue for every Canadian during the election campaign. Why is this important? Since the converging lines of evidence point to the fact that ET craft are visiting our planet from solar systems light years away, they must then possess energy systems far more sophisticated than the fossil fuels currently used on the planet today. Fossil fuels of all kinds give rise to deteriorating ozone layers and pollution contributing to global warming. Therefore government knowledge of these craft and their extraterrestrial nature indicate a compelling need to investigate how these new forms of energy that are well known by government security agencies and other unacknowledged arms of government, can be used to solve our current energy dilemma. In essence the information contained behind the sophisticated levels of secrecy includes the knowledge that arcane energy sources which, if imbedded into our medical and technological industries, could resolve the current unending cycle of poverty and social and economic inequity on the planet. In the face of intense of geo-political pressure to retain oil as the standard of energy consumption, technological development of alternate fuels has been economically and ideologically repressed by the oil and cash rich nations of the world. Why has development of solar energy for example, so abundant in most Third World countries been put out of reach if not sabotaged by the United States and multinational corporations? The answer is: oil. There is an alternative; one that will create a huge paradigm shift socially, economically and historically; one that the media and journalists have avoided for too long. How can this be overcome? Simply by journalists acknowledging issues of an extraterrestrial nature exist as stated by Mr. Hellyer and if viewed in its totality, all evidence indicates we are being visited by off-world civilizations. Preparation for contact is the next stage. The evidence is all there. Why will this issue not go away? The simple answer is: Because it is true! The more complex answer is because any issue of substance, authenticity and of a verifiable compelling nature will never fade into obscurity. Some journalists will continue to ignore the issue. But let these journalists be aware that one day, very, very soon, every writer on this planet, every electronic news organization will be scrambling for details on the highly intricate and historical nature of the UFO/ET issue. Best now to get the facts before the competition for them becomes so intense they will be at a premium. Who will get the inside track? At this point only Exopolitics Toronto and ICIS have the factual documentation. No other North American organization or research group exists. Get the facts now. Get them straight to begin with. Bring this issue into the forum of public and political debate. Help bring about Senate hearings so the country and indeed the world can hear the most compelling, yet untold story in history. The following media have begun coverage of the call for open hearings: http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20051124/bs_prweb/prweb314382_1 More Information: http://exopolitics.blogs.com/exopolitics/2005/11/paul_hellyer_an.html CBC’s Peter Gzowski Examines Alien
Abductions in Canada Toronto Ontario November 30, 2005 - In October of 1986 Peter Gzowski, then host of Morningside, delved boldly into the UFO related phenomenon of alien abductions. What is interesting about this interview is that it took place during a time when the phenomenon was just in its infancy of understanding. Abduction specialist Budd Hopkins and Canadian UFO expert Stanton T. Friedman join Peter as he conducts his interview of “Charlotte Brown” an abductee who reluctantly decided to come forward to talk about her experiences. Disturbing yet enlightening information is uncovered by Peter’s inimitable style and sensitivity towards one of the most misunderstood and hauntingly authentic phenomenon of our times. Almost 20 years later, and now in the context of the current media interest in the UFO phenomenon and the call for Parliamentary hearings by Exopolitics Toronto and the Institute for Co-operation in Space into the Extraterrestrial issue, Peter Gzowski’s interview prophetically addressed the issue of the on-going government UFO cover-up, otherwise known as the Cosmic Watergate in the United States as well as the issue of alien abductions. The challenge then today is for journalist to review and investigate the vast amount of information available to reach a deeper understanding of the political as well as the phenomenological nature of the UFO/ET experience. Exopolitics Toronto is open to making available to media representatives briefing sessions at anytime on this issue. hearings on ET" By SUN NEWS SERVICES A number of groups have joined forces with former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer in urging Parliament to hold public hearings on 'exopolitics' - or relations with extraterrestrials (ETs). Three non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were reacting to a speech made by Hellyer in September in Toronto in which he warned that "UFOs are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head.'' Hellyer said he is concerned the United States is preparing weapons for use against the aliens and could get the whole world into an "intergalactic war.'' According to Hellyer, the Americans' interest in returning to the moon is in part based on the desire to build a forward military base there. The three organizations backing Hellyer's request for hearings are the Institute for Co-operation in Space (ICIS), the Toronto Exopolitics Symposium and the Disclosure Project, a U.S.-based organization that has assembled high-level military-intelligence witnesses of a possible ET presence. Earlier this month, the Senate replied to the ICIS that their full agenda precluded any hearings in the near future on ET issues. "That does not deter us," one spokesman for the NGOs said, "We are going ahead with our request to Prime Minister Paul Martin and the official Opposition leaders in the House of Commons now, and we will re-apply to the Senate of Canada in early 2006. "Time is on the side of open disclosure that there are ethical extraterrestrial civilizations visiting Earth.'' Canadian Parliament Asked To Hold Hearings On Relations With Alien "Et"
Civilizations A former Canadian Minister of Defense has joined forces with three Non-governmental organizations to ask the Parliament of Canada to hold public hearings on with Alien “ET” Civilizations. Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defense Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head." Hellyer warned, "The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning. Mr. Hellyer went on to say, "I'm so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something." “Time is on the side of open disclosure that there are ethical Extraterrestrial civilizations visiting Earth,” a spokesperson for the Non-Governmental Organizations stated. “Our Canadian government needs to openly address these important issues of the possible deployment of weapons in outer space and war plans against ethical Extraterrestrial societies.” OTTAWA, CANADA (PRWEB) November 24, 2005 -- A former Canadian Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister under Pierre Trudeau has joined forces with three Non-governmental organizations to ask the Parliament of Canada to hold public hearings on Exopolitics -- relations with “ETs.” By “ETs,” Mr. Hellyer and these organizations mean ethical, advanced extraterrestrial civilizations that may now be visiting Earth. On September 25, 2005, in a startling speech at the University of Toronto that caught the attention of mainstream newspapers and magazines, Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defense Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head." Mr. Hellyer went on to say, "I'm so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something." Hellyer revealed, "The secrecy involved in all matters pertaining to the Roswell incident was unparalleled. The classification was, from the outset, above top secret, so the vast majority of U.S. officials and politicians, let alone a mere allied minister of defense, were never in-the-loop." Hellyer warned, "The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning. He stated, "The Bush administration has finally agreed to let the military build a forward base on the moon, which will put them in a better position to keep track of the goings and comings of the visitors from space, and to shoot at them, if they so decide." Hellyer’s speech ended with a standing ovation. He said, "The time has come to lift the veil of secrecy, and let the truth emerge, so there can be a real and informed debate, about one of the most important problems facing our planet today." Three Non-governmental organizations took Hellyer’s words to heart, and approached Canada’s Parliament in Ottawa, Canada’s capital, to hold public hearings on a possible ET presence, and what Canada should do. The Canadian Senate, which is an appointed body, has held objective, well-regarded hearings and issued reports on controversial issues such as same-sex marriage and medical marijuana, On October 20, 2005, the Institute for Cooperation in Space requested Canadian Senator Colin Kenny, Senator, Chair of The Senate Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defense, “schedule public hearings on the Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, so that witnesses such as the Hon. Paul Hellyer, and Canadian-connected high level military-intelligence, NORAD-connected, scientific, and governmental witnesses facilitated by the Disclosure Project and by the Toronto Exopolitics Symposium can present compelling evidence, testimony, and Public Policy recommendations.” The Non-governmental organizations seeking Parliament hearings include Canada-based Toronto Exopolitics Symposium, which organized the University of Toronto Symposium at which Mr. Hellyer spoke. The Disclosure Project, a U.S.– based organization that has assembled high level military-intelligence witnesses of a possible ET presence, is also one of the organizations seeking Canadian Parliament hearings. Vancouver-based Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), whose International Director headed a proposed 1977 Extraterrestrial Communication Study for the White House of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who himself has publicly reported a 1969 Close Encounter of the First Kind with a UFO, filed the original request for Canadian Parliament hearings. The Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, presented by the organizations to a Senate Committee panel hearing in Winnipeg, Canada, on March 10, 2005, proposes that the Government of Canada undertake a Decade of Contact. The proposed Decade of Contact is “a 10-year process of formal, funded public education, scientific research, educational curricula development and implementation, strategic planning, community activity, and public outreach concerning our terrestrial society’s full cultural, political, social, legal, and governmental communication and public interest diplomacy with advanced, ethical Off-Planet cultures now visiting Earth.” Canada has a long history of opposing the basing of weapons in Outer Space. On September 22, 2004 Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin declared to the U.N. General Assembly,” "Space is our final frontier. It has always captured our imagination. What a tragedy it would be if space became one big weapons arsenal and the scene of a new arms race. Martin stated, "In 1967, the United Nations agreed that weapons of mass destruction must not be based in space. The time has come to extend this ban to all weapons..." In May, 2003, speaking before the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defense and Veterans Affairs, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Lloyd Axworthy, stated “Washington's offer to Canada is not an invitation to join America under a protective shield, but it presents a global security doctrine that violates Canadian values on many levels." Axworthy concluded, “There should be an uncompromising commitment to preventing the placement of weapons in space.” On February 24, 2005, Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin made official Canada's decision not to take part in the U.S government’s Ballistic Missile Defense program. Paul Hellyer, who now supports Canadian Parliament hearings on relations with ETs, on May 15, 2003, stated in Toronto’s Globe & Mail newspaper, “Canada should accept the long-standing invitation of U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio to launch a conference to seek approval of an international treaty to ban weapons in space. That would be a positive Canadian contribution toward a more peaceful world.” In early November 2005, the Canadian Senate wrote ICIS, indicating the Senate Committee could not hold hearings on ETs in 2005, because of their already crowded schedule. “That does not deter us,” one spokesperson for the Non-governmental organizations said, “We are going ahead with our request to Prime Minister Paul Martin and the official opposition leaders in the House of Commons now, and we will re-apply with the Senate of Canada in early 2006.” “Time is on the side of open disclosure that there are ethical Extraterrestrial civilizations visiting Earth,” The spokesperson stated. “Our Canadian government needs to openly address these important issues of the possible deployment of weapons in outer space and war plans against ethical ET societies.” Canadian Exopolitics Initiative http://www.peaceinspace.net Click here to send your letter to the Parliament of Canada requesting public “ET” Hearings http://exopolitics.blogs.com/star_dreams_initiative/2005/10/the_senate_of_c.html CONTACT NOW: Toronto, Canada: Victor Viggiani, Exopolitics Toronto Symposium Tel: 905-278-5628 http://www.exopoliticstoronto.com Winnipeg, Canada: Randy Kitchur Tel: 204-582-4424 Washington, D.C.: Dr. Steven Greer, The Disclosure Project Tel: (540) 456-8302 (Office) http://www.disclosureproject.org Vancouver, Canada: Alfred Lambremont Webre, JD, MEd ICIS-Institute for Cooperation in Space Tel: 604-733-8134 http://www.peaceinspace.net More Information: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/11/prweb314382.htm Canadian Disclosure Spreads: Toronto Ontario - November 8, 2005 -- TV Ontario’s acclaimed and thought-provoking program BIG IDEAS will present the address by former Minister of National Defense Paul Hellyer given at the Symposium on UFO Disclosure at U of T’s Convocation Hall this passed September. TVO’s BIG IDEAS will air the Hellyer address beginning at 1:55 pm on Saturday November 12, 2005. The address will be re-broadcast at the same time on Sunday November 13, 2005. TVO’s BIG IDEAS is in its fifth season of presenting provocative ideas that shape public debate. The current lecture series on BIG IDEAS will feature Paul Hellyer the former Canadian Minister of National Defense as he presents his views on: The policy implications and social impact of the 58 year-old UFO/ET cover-up, Peaceful contact with off-world civilizations, His perspective on the weaponization of space by the American government and its ultimate effect on the national security and defense of Canada, His assessment of the US military retrieval of technologies obtained from the crash site of an extraterrestrial craft near Roswell New Mexico in 1947, and The media’s newly acquired and unfolding responsibility to investigate information surrounding this issue of national security. Not only will you hear Mr. Hellyer speak of his days in office but of his recent conversation with a retired United States Air Force General who stated, “It is all true and more…” The political and social impact of such a broadcast aired by a Canadian provincial government television channel as presented by a former Canadian Cabinet Minister will no doubt be examined with great interest and be measured carefully today and in the future by journalists, politicians and members of the public. This UFO/ET disclosure address and its broadcast sets in motion the most compelling convergence of politics, government and journalism available anywhere on this issue. Mr. Hellyer’s dramatic testimony and his acknowledgement that the UFO/ET issue is genuine, now provide the media and relevant Canadian government oversight committees with the necessary evidence and reliable foundations upon which to build their investigations. Such investigations by Canadian media and government will permit Canada to break ranks with an American media and government staunchly enforcing an embargo on the truth behind the authenticity of the UFO/ET issue. Canada may then assume its own path towards a viable policy of understanding the nature and implications of contact with off-world civilizations visiting the planet. Fundamentally this TV Ontario presentation of Mr. Hellyer’s address and the work done by Exopolitics Toronto at its recent symposium sends a clear message and invitation to Canadian media as well as to the government of Canada and its standing committees on National Defense and Security to work together in a co-operative manner to assess the nature of the UFO/ET presence and the threat posed to them and to our planet by the use of weapons in space. Furthermore investigation by the media or government committees will reveal the validity of on-going NORAD Significant Event Reports indicating CF-18 jets have tracked and chased uncorrelated targets of unknown origin that perform intelligent flight maneuvers at speeds unattainable by conventional aircraft. These NORAD reports, RCMP officer reports and air traffic control reports acquired through Access to Information Act are in the possession of ZlandCommunications and can be made available upon request. Witness history in the making on Canadian television; Saturday Nov 12 or on Sunday Nov 13 at 1:55 pm. (NOTE: BIG IDEAS begins at 1:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays – The Hellyer address begins at 1:55 pm. There is also a re-broadcast of BIG IDEAS at 2:00 am on Sunday.) HONORABLE PAUL T. HELLYER REVIEWS ALFRED
WEBRE'S BOOK "EXOPOLITICS" Alfred Lambremont Webre’s odyssey into the realm of life in the vast Universe surrounding Planet Earth is indeed a fascinating journey if you read it with an open mind. He postulates a Universe that includes many planets sustaining life more advanced than our own – all subject to universal governance based on the rule of law. Earth, he suggests, is an exception. Rather than being the center of the Universe, as our ancestors believed, we are the black sheep of the interplanetary community. We have been “quarantined” and isolated from the “highly organized, interplanetary, inter-galactic multidimensional Universe society,” presumably because our culture has been strongly influenced by rogue planetary leadership personified in the story of the Garden of Eden. To end the “quarantine,” Earthlings must advance morally and spiritually, while re-establishing connection with inter-planetary society. Until recently, we didn’t have the technology to do the latter, but increasingly we do. Meanwhile, visits from our extra-planetary neighbors present opportunities for peaceful communication and collaboration. Webre posits that some UFOs are natural phenomena, while some are top-secret military aircraft, but that others are quite real. He maintains that knowledge of their existence is being suppressed by military intelligence organizations in the five English-speaking countries known as the so-called “Echelon” group – the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. For me, this is the least credible of the author’s assertions. I strongly suspect that the US military holds information it has not revealed, but I very much doubt that it has shared this knowledge with its intelligence partners – certainly not Canada. The US only shares information with other governments when it is in its own best interests to do so. Webre states that the alleged disinformation campaign about UFOs is due to the close relationship between the military and industry, the so called “military-industrial complex” that President Dwight David Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address. They are the chief beneficiaries of the oil economy. Tapping into the knowledge of the Universe would ultimately lead us to higher forms of energy that would be ecologically sustainable, but that would make the oil economy irrelevant. God-fearing people will be relieved to know that there is nothing in Webre’s thesis, despite the considerable mind-stretch, that denies their fundamental beliefs. If there were, I would not be a party to it. Webre states, “Reunion with Universe civilizations will bring a closer relationship with God. The most advanced scientific reality in all creation is that God is Source.” To turn us in the direction of re-unification with the rest of creation the author is proposing a “Decade of Contact” – an “era of openness, public hearings, publicly funded research, and education about extraterrestrial reality.” That could be just the antidote the world needs to end its greed driven, power-centered madness.
Summary Information about the Symposium Paradigm Research Group Executive Director, Stephen Bassett (US), gave the closing Keynote Presentation at Exopolitics Toronto: A Symposium on UFO Disclosure and Planetary Directions at the University of Toronto's Convocation Hall on September 25. Other speakers included historian, Richard Dolan (US); researcher/journalist Paola Harris (Italy); researcher Stanton Friedman (Canada) and, notably, Canadian political figure, Paul Hellyer. All speakers addressed the symposium's theme: why is information concerning extraterrestrial-related phenomena and government involvement with these issues still being withheld from the public by specific western nations and what are the implications? Hellyer, 82, has had a long and varied career with particular emphasis on national defense. He held a number of positions culminating in his appointment as Minister of Defense under Lester Pearson. By participating in the Toronto Exopolitics Symposium, Mr. Hellyer joins a growing list of well known political and military figures around the world, active or retired, who have openly questioned the appropriateness of the response by the United States Government to this most profound and controversial issue. This list includes President Clinton's Chief of Staff, John Podesta; President Jimmy Carter; New Mexico Governor, Bill Richardson; the late British Admiral Lord Hill-Norton; Astronaut, Dr. Edgar Mitchell; the late astronaut, Gordon Cooper; French Air Force General Denis Letty; then Michigan Congressman Gerald Ford; and the late New Mexico Congressman Steven Schiff as well as many lesser known career military and agency personnel - U.S. and foreign. As quoted on the Maclean's Magazine website, www.macleans.ca, Hellyer stated, "I believe that UFOs are real. I'll talk about that a little bit and a bit about the fantastic cover-up of the United States government and also a little bit of the fallout from the wreckage, by that I mean the material discoveries we have made and how they've been applied to our technology." Richard Dolan is the author of UFOs and the National Security State: Chronology of a Cover-up, 1947-1973 and Paola Harris is the author of Connecting the Dots: Making Sense of the UFO Phenomenon. Stanton Friedman has authored several books, including Crash at Corona and Top Secret/MAJIC. Keynote presenter Bassett is arguably the leading advocate in the world for ending the 58-year government imposed truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race and the planet earth. He is a political activist, founder of the Paradigm Research Group, Executive Director of the Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee (X-PPAC), author of the Paradigm Clock website, and a political columnist and commentator.
