In this fast paced hour, Jerry discusses the Nazi heritage of belief in dark

ABOUT "SECRETS OF THE HOLY LANCE":
I am often asked how our book "SECRETS OF THE HOLY LANCE: The Spear of Destiny in History & Legend" (co-authored with George Piccard, author of "LIQUID CONSPIRACY: JFK, LSD, the CIA, Area 51, AND UFOs") differs from THE SPEAR OF DESTINY by Trevor Ravenscroft.
There are many differences. First off, Ravenscroft's book deals primarily with the past lives of the Nazi inner core. His contention was that they were involved in using the Spear of Destiny for black magic in the eleventh century -- that they were reincarnations of the people who were the models for the characters in Parsival. We don't bother with that, but do look at what the Nazi inner core did with the Spear, what their fascination with it was and the various occult and neo-pagan movements it grew out of. Also, Ravenscroft got a number of his "facts" wrong, which we correct.
Unfortunately, his shall we say, highly imitative version of the Spear's story is now firmly implanted in people's minds. We also cover much more of the Spear's history and legend than he did. We go beyond the end of WWII into the tale that the real Spear was actually hidden in Antarctica from 1945 to 1979. Our book begins and ends in 1979 because if that portion of the legend is true then the Spear of Destiny is not an object on display in some museum, or holed up in some church, but is actually an active player on the world's stage.
We cover at length the several objects claimed to be The Spear, and the scientific testing that suggests that none of them are. Conversely, we delve into the metaphysics of this object and the hundreds of strange tales of supernatural events surrounding it. Mere belief that it was infused with magic by virtue of its shedding the Savior's Blood has made men kings. But what if it's more? What are those mysterious "powers it serves" mentioned in the Spear's legend?
As well as religious and metaphysical angles we also cover the political. Operation Paperclip at the end of World War II brought Nazi rocket scientists and spymasters to the US. Escaped Nazis set up vast German reservations throughout South America. We trace where these Nazis went and how the Third Reich morphed into the Fourth, which is part of the slid of America in totalitarianism today. Is there a connection between the Spear and current events -- like the horrific events of 9/11?
